This role will be pivotal in expanding our regional product shelf, driving market‑led innovation, and ensuring our offering remains competitive, commercially scalable, and aligned to Aviva Investors’ global investment capabilities.We are seeking a senior professional with deep, demonstrable product expertise across both public and private markets, complemented by a strong local network and insight into the regional investment landscape.A bit about the role:Reporting into the Global Head of Product and partnering closely with the CEO, Americas, the Product Development Director, Americas will lead all product‑related activity across the region. This role works hand‑in‑hand with Global Product and Product Strategy to shape a 1–3‑year product roadmap for the Americas that aligns to client needs, commercial priorities, and Aviva Investors’ global investment capabilities.You will be accountable for conducting rigorous feasibility assessments for new product ideas and enhancements, ensuring clear client demand, strong investment capability and capacity, robust commercial cases, and operational deliverability. You will oversee the full lifecycle of product delivery across the region—fund launches, product changes, and strategic enhancements—while maintaining a strong focus on customer outcomes, operational readiness, and effective risk management.As a senior member of the Product Leadership Team, you will represent the needs of the Americas market, ensuring our domestic product suite remains innovative, competitive, compliant, and commercially aligned. You will work closely with Distribution, Investments, and functional partners to champion the product range and ensure it remains relevant, scalable, and fit for purpose.Key responsibilities include:Product Strategy & DevelopmentHelp inform the 1–3‑year product roadmap, working in partnership with the Product Strategy team and Distribution teams in the Americas region.Conduct market, competitor, and opportunity assessments to define product positioning across Canada and the Americas region.Identify product gaps and recommend solutions across equities, fixed income, multi‑asset, real assets, private credit, and alternatives.Lead feasibility assessments for new products and product enhancements, ensuring proposals meet client needs, align with investment capability, and are underpinned by strong commercial cases.Product Delivery & Lifecycle ManagementOversee the launch of new funds and implementation of product changes across the region.Ensure strong operational readiness, risk management, and positive customer outcomes throughout the lifecycle.Maintain awareness of regulatory requirements—including disclosure standards and licensing obligations—to ensure products remain compliant and suitable.Leadership & Stakeholder InfluenceServe as a senior member of the Product Leadership Team, representing the Americas region priorities and ensuring appropriate global focus.Partner with the CEO, Americas, regional Distribution, and global Investment teams to ensure the product suite is relevant, competitive, and championed across the business.Lead effective project management across launches, closures, restructures, mergers, and broader operational changes.Skills and experience we’re looking for:Strong regulatory and product delivery knowledge across the Americas region—especially for Canada in particular but also other Americas regions such as the US, LATAM, US Offshore.Product management experience across public markets (equities, fixed income, multi‑asset) and private markets (real assets, private credit, alternatives) - eg track record of successfully designing and launching public and private markets products as well as managing and culling products.Effective and up to date regulatory knowledge, ensuring that all product design / development is compliant and existing products remain fit for purpose and comply with evolving regulations.Experience delivering product changes, including fund launches, mergers, restructures, and wind‑downs/closures.Proven ability to lead complex, cross‑border projects partnering with investment, distribution, legal, risk, operations, and marketing teams; qualifications like CFA/CAIA/IMC welcomed but not essential.What you’ll get for this role:Compelling rewards package including base compensation, eligibility for annual bonus, retirement savings, share plan, health benefits, personal wellness, and volunteer opportunities.We care about developing our people - whether it's through outstanding career development opportunities or through supporting your professional education!Competitive vacation package with the option to purchase 5 extra days off per year.Employee driven programs focused on diversity and inclusion.Corporate wellness programs to support our employees’ physical and mental health.Hybrid flexible working model!Aviva is for everyone:We’re inclusive and – we want applications from all backgrounds and experiences.
