Primary Responsibilities:

Own full-cycle accounting including GL maintenance, journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and full month-end process.
Prepare detailed financial statements, variance analysis, and ad-hoc reports at month, quarter, and year-end.
Oversee AP and AR functions and provide leadership to those teams.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
Serve as the main point of contact for external auditors and ensure audit readiness.
Support treasury and banking functions.
Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, specifically focusing on ERP systems and other software.
Partner with other departments to solve problems, implement process improvements and streamline workflows.

Qualifications and Experience:

5+ years of progressive full-cycle accounting experience

Experience at Big 4 public accounting is ideal
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field is required

CPA ideal, but not required
Advanced Excel skills required, and able to learn new systems/software quickly
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to juggle many priorities and projects with tight deadlines
Very strong analysis and reporting skills
Ability to work independently with a high degree of attention to detail and organization
Experience in a fast-growing technology or international business environment is an asset
Knowledge of U.S. GAAP is an asset
