Laboratory Coordinator

• Track and monitor the progression of samples through the laboratory.
• Address any concerns or delays in the sample processing workflow to ensure timely completion.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between the laboratory and Client Services.
• Assist in conducting root cause analysis for operational issues.
• Provide recommendations to Lab Management for process improvements and issue resolution.
• Provide supervision and guidance to laboratory staff in the absence of the Lab Manager or Supervisor.
• Experience with GC/MS/FID, IC/ICP OES, and Spectrophotometer testing.
• Ensure smooth daily operations, adherence to procedures, and timely task completion.
• Perform laboratory analysis and technician duties as required to support team functions
• Ensure compliance with Quality Control (QC) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain ongoing monitoring of QA/QC data, including charts, records, and other documentation.

• Minimum Science Technical Diploma, BSc, or equivalent experience

• 3+ years of hands-on laboratory experience in a senior role.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and coaching abilities.
• In depth knowledge of laboratory processes and operations.
• Advanced computer skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

• General office environment with some exposure to laboratory environment.
• Sitting for prolonged periods of time in an office setting.
• Compliance with established safety procedures and appropriate PPE.
• Manual dexterity is required.
• Exposure to excessive noise, dust and/or varying temperatures is rare.
• May require the ability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds.
