- Supporting the Benefits Manager in the administration of group benefits programs (health, dental, disability, life, etc.).
- Analyzing benefits data, identifying trends, and preparing regular and ad hoc reports for management.
- Assisting with annual benefits renewals, audits, and compliance reporting.
- Responding to employee inquiries regarding benefits escalated complex issues as needed.
- Updating employee profiles in Workday related to administrative changes in benefit / retirement coverage.
- Partnering with the HR Technology team for updates to benefit eligibility and configuration in Workday.
- Working with benefit vendors to resolve employee inquiries or Workday integration issues.
- Collaborating with payroll to ensure accurate and timely payroll, year-end and other statutory remittance processing.
- Assisting with payroll reconciliations, audits, and reporting.
- Partnering with the HR Technology team for updates to payroll configuration (such as new pay code requirements) in Workday.
- Responding to employee inquiries regarding payroll escalated complex issues as needed.
- Supporting the resolution of integration issues from our payroll system to our finance systems.
- Extracting, manipulating, and analyzing HR, benefits, and payroll data from Workday.
- Developing and maintaining advanced Excel models, dashboards, and reports for HR leadership.
- Ensuring data integrity and accuracy across Workday and external benefits systems.
- Working closely with the Director, Senior Manager, Manager, and payroll to streamline processes and improve data-driven decision making.
- Participating in HR projects and initiatives as required.
- Supporting Workday release testing and related updates required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in benefits administration, payroll, and/or HR analytics, preferably in a professional services environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, data visualization, etc.).
- Experience with Workday payroll and benefits modules
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrates the qualities of a self-starter and the ability to take initiative to identify process improvements, manage issues, and resolve roadblocks independently.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Canadian payroll and benefits legislation.
- Bilingual (English and French), both spoken and written.
