Adecco is currently hiring a Carpenter for a full-time opportunity based in Calgary, AB. This role is ideal for a skilled trades professional with strong hands-on experience in construction who takes pride in quality workmanship, safety, and supporting site operations.The Carpenter will be responsible for a wide range of carpentry tasks, supporting both structural work and general site needs while contributing to overall project efficiency and quality.Pay Rate: $36-$40/hourLocation: Calgary, ABSchedule: Monday - FridayEmployment Type: Permanent | Full-timeResponsibilitiesPerform a variety of general carpentry tasks across active construction sitesComplete miscellaneous site work including deficiencies, backing, and cleanupInstall and maintain site hoarding, fencing, safety rails, and protective structuresReview blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine materials and work requirementsAssist with layout work including walls, embed plates, and quality control checksInstall components such as water stops, metal door frames, and base building hardwareSupport mechanical and electrical teams with blockouts and preparation workAssist with waterproofing prep and coordination with subcontractorsMaintain and install elevator hoarding, crane hoarding, and sidewalk protection systemsEnsure proper installation and maintenance of safety features across the siteComplete QA/QC checks and support overall site quality standardsProvide mentorship and guidance to apprentices and labourers as neededFollow verbal instructions and adapt to changing site prioritiesRequirementsMust be eligible to work and reside within CanadaRed Seal Journeyman Carpenter Certification or equivalentValid driver's licenseStrong proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and general carpentry equipmentSolid understanding of construction drawings and site layoutsCommitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety proceduresAbility to work both independently and within a team environmentStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work under time constraints and meet project deadlinesPreferred QualificationsWHMIS certificationCSTS and Fall Protection certificationsLeadership in Safety Excellence or other safety-related trainingOperator tickets considered an assetExperience in high-rise or light commercial construction environmentsWork EnvironmentWork is performed both indoors and outdoors, including exposure to varying weather conditionsTravel to job sites may be requiredPhysically demanding role requiring lifting, movement, and active site workWhy This RoleHands-on role with diverse carpentry responsibilities across active construction projectsOpportunity to work on large-scale builds and develop advanced site experienceSupportive team environment with opportunities to mentor junior workersInterested in this position?
