
Trade Representative

- You'll develop a rapport with trade clients, actively listening to identify their needs, guiding them through the sales process, and providing product knowledge to help identify potential trade opportunities
- You'll have the opportunity to network, and make connections with new potential clients via cold calls, emails, and in person/virtual appointments
- You'll be responsible for tracking and following up on trade quotes/orders, maintaining a database of trade members, and acting as a point of communication to keep them engaged with the brand and up to date on store events & promotions
- You'll support store managers and trade project managers in executing trade promotions and in-store events
- Four (4) years of experience in retail sales, or experience in a design/trade environment is preferred. A combination of education and experience may be considered
- A high school diploma/GED. Post-secondary education in Project Management and retail customer service would be an asset
- Proficiency in retail operations and systems (Point of Sale, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, InDesign)
- The ability to self-motivate, with strong organization and project management skills. Can work proactively to develop short and long term goals, and then execute them as part of a team
- Working knowledge of the retail furniture industry, and an understanding of how to scout designers and turns prospects into clients
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to develop a strong working relationship with a diverse range of customers and business partners
