We currently have an opening for a Graduate/Junior Civil Engineer in our Infrastructure Division based out of our Niagara Office. Working with a dynamic team in a collaborative work environment, the Civil Engineer will be expected to collaborate with staff within our three Ontario offices, including Niagara, Markham, and Kitchener. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Providing support with preparing preliminary and detailed engineering designs for storm and sanitary sewers, watermains, roadways, pumping stations and other facilities
  • Preparation of construction cost estimates, specifications, and tender documents
  • Liaising with other design disciplines on the project team
  • Providing construction related services, as assigned, including site inspections
  • Other duties, as assigned, including project coordination, technical report writing, and completion of planning and feasibility studies
  • Ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures within a COR certified environment and the duties specified under the Occupational Health & Safety Act
Job Requirements
  • Must possess a B.Eng. from a recognized university level Civil Engineering program
  • 0-4 years' experience
  • Experience working with MicroStation, AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D is an asset
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in an interactive team atmosphere
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop positive relationships with staff, project team members and clients
  • Proven integrity to deal with sensitive, privileged, and confidential employee or Client matters
  • Results oriented and ability to work under pressure
  • Demonstrated prioritization, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle is an asset
