You have experience with Category Management and are looking for the opportunity to continue your learning and drive change within the plumbing, HVAC/R and industrial wholesale industry.Located at Wolseley's Burlington, Ontario corporate office and reporting into the Category Manager, you will be accountable and responsible for achieving sales targets, profitability, and funding contribution, supporting the category strategy. The purpose of the position is to be forward looking, create value and sales opportunities while mitigating risk through timely contract implementation.The Associate Category Manager, HVAC understands external variables, requirements and the priorities of our branches and develops relationships to successfully develop category strategies that utilize various value levers to deliver improved cost, reduced risk and ultimately improved the customer experience across our branches, showrooms and e-commerce properties.What’s in it for you?Regular business hours Monday to FridayComprehensive benefits with premiums fully paid for by the company for the “Core” package starting the first day of employment.Career development and training opportunitiesLife insurance, disability and wellness programRetirement savings programs including RRSP and DC pension with up to 5.25% employer contributionPaid vacation and sick time and day off on your birthday!Bonus programs that include annual performance and profit sharingEmployee discounts on top brands of plumbing and HVAC/R productsEducation reimbursement for employeesEmployee referral programSafety shoe reimbursementWhat you will do:Accountable for managing the business to achieve sales targets, maximizing profitability, funding contribution, while driving market share growthWork closely with Wolseley Branches and National Sales Teams to deliver increased value to Wolseley customersReviews product assortment recommendations and execute product launchesManages vendor relationships, negotiates with suppliers, develops and executes plans to achieve targets (rebates, marketing funding, etc)Monitors timely acquisition of products, appropriate replenishment, suggest changes in purchasing and provide solutions to minimize the impact of backorders, unproductive inventory, while maximizing sales and inventory turns.Analyzes key financial and operational metrics to determine the success of individual programs and products and identifying potential issues, opportunities and improvements.Review weekly, period and YTD sales and margin reports and completes ongoing analysis and quarterly reviews to maximize category opportunitiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to execute category intentional supplier and product strategiesWhat you will bring:Post Secondary education in Business Administration, Marketing or related discipline2+ years of experience in Category Management or relatable experienceKnowledge of HVAC industryProven experience in managing product dataSolid leadership and supervisory skillsAbility to think strategically with excellent analytical skillsAdvanced working knowledge of Excel, tableau, Microsoft BI and PowerPointStrong communication skills with an ability to communicate with all associate levels within the organization.Working effectively with time constraints and meeting deadlines within a fast-paced work environmentExcellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, builds strong relationships with internal and external stakeholdersFluency in both French and English is an assetEach resume submitted gets individually reviewed by our team and retained for 24 months if other new and exciting opportunities arise that match your skills and qualifications.Please note: This position requires the result of a satisfactory criminal record check.
