Performance Management : Supervise production employees and coordinate workforce to ensure customer and operational requirements are being met. Supervise manufacturing employees involved in the assembly process including performance, absenteeism and vacations. Risk Management: Proactively implement, promote and maintain a safe working environment through diligence in accident prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and rule enforcement to safety legislative and company requirements. Manage and enforce safety and housekeeping standards including maintaining equipment and work areas in a clean, organized and orderly condition. Supervisory: Motivate and coach employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels. Maintain and control adequate inventory of tools for employees. Continuous improvement: Facilitate continuous improvement opportunities with an emphasis on identifying cost-savings. Promote quality objectives by clarifying quality standards and goals to production employees, as well as monitoring and improving systems in place to maximize quality and productivity. Apply Lean manufacturing at a departmental level using lean tools and philosophies. Communication: Report production progress to applicable parties, e.g Satellite Manager, Shipping, Marketing. Communicate and escalate process issues and opportunities that arise. College diploma or University degree or Red Seal (309A) Interprovincial Journeyman Electrician Certification Experience in a production / manufacturing environment. Candidates must reside within 80km of Delta, BC, no relocation is provided. Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without company sponsorship. Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a production environment. Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.
