What You'll Be Doing:We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our John Deere Agriculture service team. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of hands-on experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment in a fast-paced shop and/or field environment, and holds a valid 421A license. This role is focused on delivering high-quality repairs, reducing downtime, and providing excellent service to our customers. Responsibiliites:

Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on agricultural and heavy equipment
Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and scheduled service work
Troubleshoot engines, powertrains, steering, hydraulic, HVAC, and electronic control systems
Use diagnostic software/tools and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins
Complete work orders accurately, including parts used, labor time, and service notes
Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow shop safety procedures
Communicate findings and repair recommendations clearly with service advisors and customers

Qualifications:

421A license (valid and in good standing)
7+ years of experience working on heavy equipment and/or agricultural machinery
Strong diagnostic ability in hydraulics, electrical systems, and powertrain
Proficiency with shop tools and diagnostic equipment (laptops/scanners, multimeters, etc.)
Ability to read and follow service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
Valid driver’s license and ability to operate equipment safely

Previous experience with equipment and/or dealership environment
Field service experience and customer-facing communication skills would be an asset but

CompensationPlacement within the wage range is based on skills, experience and qualifications.Applicants with more or less experience and qualifications may be placed outside the salary range.Sales positions will have a commission component as well. Salary Range: CAD $40.00 - CAD $45.00 /Hr.
