Heavy Equipment Technician

- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on agricultural and heavy equipment
- Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and scheduled service work
- Troubleshoot engines, powertrains, steering, hydraulic, HVAC, and electronic control systems
- Use diagnostic software/tools and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins
- Complete work orders accurately, including parts used, labor time, and service notes
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow shop safety procedures
- Communicate findings and repair recommendations clearly with service advisors and customers
- 421A license (valid and in good standing)
- 7+ years of experience working on heavy equipment and/or agricultural machinery
- Strong diagnostic ability in hydraulics, electrical systems, and powertrain
- Proficiency with shop tools and diagnostic equipment (laptops/scanners, multimeters, etc.)
- Ability to read and follow service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate equipment safely
- Previous experience with equipment and/or dealership environment
- Field service experience and customer-facing communication skills would be an asset but
