Aecon Utilities is ready to become Canada's #1 utility construction provider and we're looking for a customer-focused, sales-motivated, multi-service, self-motivated Field Technician (Install & Repair) to help us get there!Aecon Technical Solutions Inc. employs highly-trained technicians to perform telecommunications infrastructure installations. Whether at residential, retail, commercial, institutional or hospitality environments, ATSI is well-suited to assist clients with their telecom installation needs.What You'll Do Here:
  • Must be safety conscious and able to adhere to a highly focused safety culture
  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences and informed sales recommendations
  • Install and repair support for Phone, Internet and TV transported over fiber networks
  • Troubleshooting and repair support for IPTV, Internet and Phone Service transported over fiber, copper
  • Responsible for a geographical area to complete assigned work on a daily basis
  • Provision and maintain outside plant facilities, including buried and aerial fiber and copper networks.
  • Self-motivated and highly organized to manage workloads with minimal direction
  • Highly Adaptable to constantly changing technologies, methods, and procedures
  • Working at heights in different spaces in accordance with provincial and federal guideline
What You Bring to the Team:
  • 1+ years of Sales Experience
  • 1+ years of technical field experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent Customer Service skills
  • Must be willing to work outdoors in changing weather conditions, all seasons
  • Maintain a valid provincial driver's license and provide a driver's abstract quarterly
  • Must be willing to travel and work in various locations
  • Ability to maintain secure parking for the Company Vehicle
  • Successfully complete a criminal background check
  • Comfortable working with computers
  • Evening, Weekend, and Holiday work is required
The expected range for this position is $40 - $75 per piece work jobs, and a training rate of $22.44 per hour.
