Position SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to support the decommissioning of a legacy Student ERP system as part of a broader technology transformation initiative. This role involves identifying, documenting, and coordinating the retirement of the system, while also supporting planning efforts around system dependencies, data migration, and document management.Candidates with direct experience in higher education ERP decommissioning projects are preferred. The successful candidate will engage with business and IT stakeholders to assess data and integration dependencies, map business processes, and contribute to the development of the decommissioning roadmap.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business and technical requirements related to ERP decommissioningIdentify and define dependencies between the ERP system and other applications (e.g., reporting tools, document management systems, integrations)Support planning and strategy for data migration, including identifying which data must be retained and how it will be archived or transitionedAssess and document current use of associated systems such as document management tools and user interface portalsCoordinate with IT to understand infrastructure components, including database environmentsMap current and future state business processes to support transition planning and ensure continuityAssist in evaluating document management requirements and integration pointsProduce clear documentation, diagrams, and models to support decision-making and decommissioning executionParticipate in stakeholder engagement, workshops, and change impact discussionsQualifications3-5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally in higher education or within ERP transition projectsDirect experience with ERP decommissioning, particularly student information systems, is highly desirableExperience with the Banner ERP system is a strong asset but not requiredFamiliarity with document management systems (e.g., Xtender) is preferredUnderstanding of Oracle RAC database environmentsExperience with user interface integration platforms (e.g., Luminis) is a nice-to-haveStrong business process modeling and documentation skillsExcellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement abilitiesAbility to work independently and provide structured, actionable recommendations
