Leading Geotechnical Engineer, for COWI in North America

- Coordinate the work of the geotechnical and seismic team for COWI as part of the FRTP project
- Collaborate closely with the Client, Owner's Engineer Team, Design-Builder, Designer, and other Stakeholders during the design development
- Act as the coordinating professional to direct COWI's work in geotechnical engineering, along with being responsible for accurate forecasting, scheduling, and budgeting for the assigned tasks.
- Contribute specialized skills to the FRTP project and other assigned projects, ensuring adherence to quality systems and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Perform & review engineering analyses and design with a focus on seismic analysis and soil-structure interactions for retaining walls, foundations, underground structures, and marine structures
- Classify, interpret, and characterize ground conditions from geotechnical data for the design of different structures, including retaining walls, foundations, underground structures, and marine structures
- Contribute to production, review ,and approval of design deliverables such as technical memoranda, geotechnical design reports, geotechnical interpretative reports, and construction drawings
- Provide input in digital delivery and information management of various projects from conception through to completion
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or Rock Mechanics
- A registered Professional Engineer License (P.Eng.) in BC
- A minimum of 15 years' experience working with project design in carrying out engineering and seismic analysis and design of foundations, tunnels, caverns, and underground structures in the Architectural/Engineering/Construction industry
- Experience and familiarity with regional codes (North America)
- Basic knowledge of typical BIM and parametric design software, such as, AutoCAD, Dynamo, Grasshopper, etc., and design software, such as RS2/3, SWEDGE, UNWEDGE, DIPS, UDEC, FLAC/FLAC3D, Plaxis 2D/3D, Sofistik, etc.
