Wildlife Field Programs and Data Collection Supported
- Assist in wildlife baseline programs supporting environmental assessments and regulatory approvals
- Participate in wildlife inventory programs and habitat assessments
- Conduct fieldwork including species-specific surveys and habitat studies
- Follow established data collection protocols and support data quality assurance
- Organize and manage field data for analysis
- Assist in interpreting wildlife data under senior guidance
- Support identification of ecological patterns and potential project-related impacts
- Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, including baseline studies and environmental assessment sections
- Prepare data, tables, and supporting documentation
- Support wildlife components of environmental assessments and permitting applications
- Assist with impact assessments and development of mitigation and monitoring measures
- Contribute to documentation aligned with provincial and federal regulatory requirements
- Work closely with senior wildlife biologists and other technical specialists (aquatics, vegetation, hydrology, regulatory)
- Support coordination of wildlife-related tasks within broader environmental projects
- Assist with project planning and execution
- Participate in field programs and contribute to safe, efficient field operations
- Follow health and safety protocols and contribute to a strong safety culture
- BSc or MSc in wildlife biology, ecology, environmental science, or a related discipline
- 3-8 years of relevant professional experience, ideally within environmental consulting
- Eligible for or working toward Registered Professional Biologist (RPBio) designation
- Experience supporting wildlife inventory and habitat survey programs
- Exposure to technical report writing and environmental assessment deliverables
- Familiarity with provincial and federal wildlife regulations is an asset
- Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills
- Willingness and ability to conduct fieldwork in remote environments when required
