As a Counsellor II, you’ll provide evidence-based, client-centered counselling to individuals navigating a wide range of personal and workplace challenges—including stress, mental health concerns, life transitions, and relationship or family issues.You’ll have the clinical autonomy to apply your expertise, while benefiting from TELUS Health’s supportive network of professionals and resources. This role empowers you to deliver the highest quality care, expand your clinical skills, and grow your practice within a respected, innovative organization committed to mental health excellence.What you’ll doProvide evidence-based therapy—both in person and digitally—from our Winnipeg office, using solution-focused, brief, and longer-term modalities customized to each client’s needs and goals.Support clients through our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and Total Mental Health (TMH) programs, addressing complex presentations including mental health disorders, addictions, relationship concerns and workplace stressApply strength-based, client-centered approaches that honor diverse backgrounds and empower individuals to achieve meaningful changeMaintain clinical autonomy while collaborating with a Regional Clinical Supervisor who supports your professional developmentEngage in ongoing clinical consultation, peer learning and access to continuing education opportunitiesUse digital systems to work efficiently, while leveraging initiative and adaptive problem-solving to respond effectively when processes require adjustment.Serve as the Health & Safety Representative for the office, collaborating with management on workplace safety protocolsWhat You BringRequired:Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field.Minimum five years of post-master's direct clinical experience with diverse populations and presenting concerns.Current registration in good standing with one of the following: CCPA – CCC level membership, MCSW: Manitoba College of Social WorkersStrong clinical competency in solution-focused therapy, brief interventions, and longer-term modalities.Ability to establish therapeutic rapport quickly with clients from diverse cultural, social, and economic backgrounds.Excellent clinical judgment, self-direction, and comfort working independently in a high-volume practice setting.Proficiency with electronic health records and digital clinical tools.Commitment to evidence-informed practice, ethical standards, and continuous professional development.Experience working with blue-collar or trades populations and familiarity with workplace-related trauma preferred.Highly organized, solution-oriented, and able to adapt to dynamic scheduling and caseload demands.Great-to-haves:Clinical experience with substance use disorders and addiction counselling.Previous experience in EAP, workplace mental health, or integrated care settings.Familiarity with local community resources and service networks.Additional certifications in specialized therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, EMDR, trauma-informed care).What TELUS Health Offers YouComprehensive total rewards package highlighting competitive salary and paid time off, with a flexible benefits plan to meet the needs of you and your familyGenerous company matched pension and share purchase programsOpportunity to give back to communities in which we work, live and serveCareer growth and learning & development opportunities to develop your skillsAnd much more …Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance, experience and location.Job Posting Vacancy Type: This is for a current vacancyExpected annual base salary range for this role is: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00Our Commitment to YouAt TELUS Health, we believe that diverse teams deliver better care.
