Salary RangeSalary Range: $71,846 - $115,129 per annum. Placement on the faculty salary scale is based on education, professional certification and experience and will be in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
The OpportunityThe Practice Placement Coordinator will support the successful launch of the LPN-to-BSPN preceptorship initiative by developing, coordinating, and securing clinical placements across multiple health authorities. Working closely with faculty, clinical partners, and program leadership, the coordinator will establish efficient processes to manage placement requests, maintain communication pathways with partners, and assist with the systems and logistics required to transition students into preceptorship experiences beginning Summer 2027. Knowledge of HSPnet and clinical placement systems is considered an asset, as the role will involve building workflows that align with health authority expectations and institutional policies.

WHAT IT TAKESSPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIESThe Practice Placement Coordinator will lead the work required to secure and operationalize preceptorship placements for incoming LPN-to-BSPN students.
Key responsibilities include:
- mapping potential clinical sites across health authorities,
- ensuring appropriate affiliation agreements are in place,
- submitting and managing placement requests,
- developing timelines, documentation and communication practices,
- and liaising with clinical partners to confirm student capacity and supervision expectations.
- Current RPN/RN registration with BCCNM.
- Bachelor's Degree required in Nursing, Master's preferred
- A minimum of three years of nursing experience with a demonstrated understanding of the student undergraduate experience. Teaching experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to utilize and learn a variety of technology-based software or web-based programs including database management software
- Demonstrated organizational skills.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Demonstrated positive and effective interpersonal and networking skills, including teamwork and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrate an ability to develop a working knowledge of curriculum requirements of Health Sciences programs
- Demonstrated self-direction, motivation, initiative and creativity.
- Demonstrates an understanding of cultural safety and humility in the context of education
