SUMMARYReporting to the Mill Supervisor, the General Labourer packs, ties, labels, counts and identifies wood using various handling equipment.Main duties· Operate wood handling equipment on the stacking line.· Piling lumber by hand.· Band and wrap lumber.· Maintain a clean and organized workstation and yard.· Adhere to all workplace safety rules and regulations.· Adhere to customer service commitments.· Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, skills and abilities
Attention to detail
Able to count and identify wood products of various sizes.
Must have own steel-toe boots.
Basic math skills.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds or 23 kilograms, and heavier weights as required
Must be able to speak, read and write English
