With a proactive and client-focused approach, this role supports tenant success, drives operational excellence, and contributes to the overall performance and value of the asset. You will lead a dedicated team, manage critical budgets and contracts, and champion sustainability initiatives that align with JLL's commitment to creating exceptional spaces.What your day-to-day will look like:Perform daily inspections of buildings and grounds, identifying discrepancies and coordinating appropriate remedial work while keeping the General Manager informedMonitor, mentor, coach, and develop direct reports, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures while fostering a culture of engagement and continuous improvementPrepare and execute yearly expense budgets, monthly forecasts, and variance reports; manage budget control books and year-end accrualsNegotiate, oversee, and manage all service contracts and operations agreements in collaboration with procurement, ensuring compliance with purchasing guidelinesDevelop and manage the Major Capital Expenditures program and energy management initiatives, including metering systems and utilities expensesOversee tenant water and hydro metering and billing, ensuring accuracy and timely processingContribute to the property's ESG objectives by supporting sustainability initiatives, monitoring operational efficiencies, and promoting responsible building practicesRequired Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities or operations management, preferably in retail or commercial real estatePost-secondary education in mechanical/civil engineering, building services, or technical tradesDeep understanding of HVAC, lighting, plumbing, electrical systems, and building scienceExtensive experience managing budgets, financial statements, and contract administrationSolid knowledge of WHMIS requirements and workplace safety standardsStrong communication skills with proficiency in English (verbal and written)Proven ability to lead teams, solve complex problems, and deliver exceptional customer servicePreferred Qualifications:Facilities Management Administrator (FMA), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), or Certified Engineering Technologist designationsKnowledge of LEED and BOMA standards with a focus on environmental sustainabilityExperience with property management software such as JDE and YardiAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with database exposureDemonstrated ability to implement innovative solutions using current industry technologiesStrong collaborative skills with experience working across leasing, marketing, tenant coordination, and specialty leasing departmentsEstimated compensation for this position:90,000.00 – 110,000.00 CAD per yearThis range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ.
