- Lead and execute the research, design, and systems‑level development of wearable systems with cross‑functional teams (mechanical, firmware, data science, software, textile, regulatory) to architect and deliver cohesive, fully integrated solutions.
- Oversee and perform end-to-end prototyping, assembly, verification testing, data collection, and performance analysis of wearable biomedical systems, ensuring interoperability, reliability, and clinical readiness.
- Apply systems engineering methods to support usability engineering activities and generate documentation aligned with ISO 13485 compliance and global medical device regulatory submissions.
- Diagnose and resolve complex, cross‑disciplinary technical challenges across electronic, mechanical, and textile subsystems throughout the development lifecycle.
- Produce high‑quality technical reports and systems documentation to support design history files, regulatory approvals, and effective knowledge transfer.
- Master’s or PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Neurosciences, Mechatronics, or a closely related field.
- Proven experience in biosignal acquisition, recording, and advanced signal processing techniques, ideally applied to physiological signals such as EMG, EEG, ECG, or other wearable medical sensing modalities.
- Demonstrated expertise in the design, development, and evaluation of neurostimulation and neuromodulation systems, including stimulation waveform design, electrode-tissue interface optimization, safety assurance, and clinical or research validation.
- Strong background in biomedical systems engineering, with the ability to design and integrate multimodal sensing and stimulation platforms across hardware, firmware, and textile domains.
- Proficiency in Python for data analysis, signal processing, and algorithm development (required), with additional experience in embedded or compiled languages (e.g., C/C++) considered an asset.
- Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting systems, particularly in wearable or medical device form factors.
- Familiarity with usability engineering (IEC 62366), quality management systems (ISO 13485), and medical device regulatory processes.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills to produce documentation for both internal and regulatory use.
