Electromechanical Technician

- Diagnose and repair electrical issues on high-speed manufacturing equipment including extruders, flexographic printing presses, laminators and coaters, slitters and rewinders, bag/converting machines
- Troubleshoot motors, VFDs, servo drives, PLC-controlled systems, sensors, heaters, and safety circuits
- Execute scheduled PMs on equipment and electrical systems, ensuring accurate documentation in the CMMS
- Troubleshoot and adjust PLC and HMI systems (Allen Bradley/Siemens or plant-specific platforms)
- Support machine control upgrades, sensor replacements, and control logic improvements
- Install new electrical equipment, power feeds, panels, conduit, cable trays, and control wiring
- Assist in equipment commissioning, expansions, rebuilds, and modernization projects
- Update schematics, wiring diagrams, and electrical documentation as needed
- Provide input on equipment reliability improvements and design modifications
- A valid 442A electrical license and/or 433A millwright license
- Strong diagnostic skills with motors, drives, relays, PLCs, and automation systems
- Experience working with highspeed production machinery
- Familiarity with extrusion and Flexo printing electrical systems an asset
- Experience with PLC programming (Allen Bradley) an asset
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Ability to be organized, detail oriented, and proactive in identifying failures before they occur
