IS2 Workforce Solution is looking for an Operationally Experience Accounting Technician, who will play a key role in supporting the accounting operations across multiple brands. This role requires someone who understands both finance and operations and is capable of managing transactional accounting while supporting budgeting, reporting, and brand-level performance tracking. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, proactive, and comfortable working in a multi-entity environment.What We’re Looking For:

Job Types: Temporary to Full-timePay Rate: Starting from $30/ hr final rate based on experience, including potential for full benefits and equity stakes within the company.Work Location: Hybrid – Calgary, ABWhat You Will Do:Accounting & Financial Operations
  • Manage full-cycle accounting functions including AR, AP, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for multiple brands/entities.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Reconcile intercompany transactions.
  • Monitor cash flow and support working capital management.
  • Assist in preparation of financial statements and internal management reports.
Multi-Brand Financial Management
  • Track and report brand-specific revenue, expenses, and profitability.
  • Support cost allocation across brands and departments.
  • Maintain organized financial data per entity for reporting accuracy.
  • Assist in building and maintaining dashboards for brand performance.
Operational Support
  • Work closely with operations teams to ensure accurate expense coding and cost tracking.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives.
  • Analyze operational data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Monitor inventory, vendor payments, and operational financial controls (if applicable).
Compliance & Controls
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support audit preparation.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and documentation standards.
What You Have to Offer:
  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3–5+ years of accounting experience (multi-entity or multi-division experience preferred).
  • Experience working in operationally driven environments (retail, distribution, manufacturing, multi-brand groups, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of full-cycle bookkeeping.
  • Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Caseware, or similar ERP systems).
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, basic financial modeling).
  • Experience building or contributing to financial dashboards is an asset.
