
Senior Project Manager - Aviation

- Manage individual tasks throughout the design, procurement, construction, handover and close out process.
- Ensure project compliance with client's document controls, standards, and file specifications.
- Regularly collaborate and coordinate with internal resources, consultants, client stakeholders and general contractors/construction managers as well as represent the client with third parties such as landlords
- Work directly with clients to prepare all elements of the project. This includes the scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimates and budget, work plan schedule/milestones, quality control, and risk management.
- Oversee procurement through a managed tender process, perform bid analysis & recommendation, and award.
- Perform site visits, review progress and review work quality.
- Review and track schedule and work progress.
- Provide regular reporting to the client on all aspects of project status and provide a forward look.
- Have contract administration duties for contractors and direct vendors.
- Proactively manage issues to resolution and/or escalation.
- Lead project handover with oversight of vendor work completion, punch list management, liaison with FM.
- Manage project closeout; financial close, conduct lessons learned, ensure documentation complete.
- Work in partnership with clients to build a positive relationship and can articulate the benefits achieved.
- Understand and share the client's strategy and goals.
- Take ownership and be the clients trusted adviser.
- Contribute to refining processes and standards to optimize performance.
- Contribute to development and securing of new business opportunities and work winning.
- Oversee the activities of project team and encourages a positive culture.
- Have ability to effectively collaborate.
- Provide guidance, support, coaching and motivation to junior members of our team.

- A minimum of 8 - 10 years of project management experience in construction/real estate or facilities management and with demonstrated ability to manage teams.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a similar field.
- PMP is an asset.
- Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Project or P6.
- Good with numbers, technology, and web-based data platforms.
- Great communication skills and an ability to manage and liaise at different levels.
- Experience in aviation required.
- Must be willing to be onsite in Southern Ottawa 3/4 days a week.
