- The oversight of drafting and design output from junior engineers and technologists which may include project management for the coordination and delivery of a complete detailed design drawing package for land development projects including; subdivisions, commercial and industrial sites as well as public sector capital infrastructure projects including roads, transit, deep utilities, and streetscape projects.
- Lead and assist CAD Team with projects from developing plans, section details, schedules, and quantity take-offs.
- Create and modify CAD drawings including site plans, block profiles and cross sections using Autodesk Civil 3D software.
- Prepare site grading plans, underground sewer and watermain layouts, as well as erosion & sediment management plans. Support with earthworks volume analysis, and cross section review. Assist stormwater teams with overland, and minor-system models and drawings.
- Completion of tasks received from Engineers.
- Ability to resolve and/or communicate any technical issues that may arise.
- Coordination of sub-consultants and municipal approvals.
- Adhere to quality control workflows and processes to ensure consistent quality deliverables.
- Coordinate with other engineers and technologists as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Mentor team members, delegate tasks and support career growth of junior staff.
- Ensure drafting standards meet current design and Client standards, guidelines and other requirements.
- Keeping up to date on the latest design tools and aids in CAD/civil 3D in consultation with senior CAD staff.
- Profile
- 8+ years of design experience in municipal and land development projects within a consulting environment.
- Completion of a college diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or similar.
- Professional registration with ASET/APEGA is considered an asset.

- Eager to develop proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-related design tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, PCSWMM, and BlueBeam Revu.
