WHAT YOU'LL BE DOINGResponsibilities (including but not limited to)
- Support the design, implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Mammoet’s SHE-Q programs, ensuring alignment with company standards, policies, and business objectives
- Act as a subject matter resource for project teams, supervision, and operations - leading by positive, visible example in the field
- Ensure compliance with current Occupational Health & Safety legislation and client requirements
- Assist in the development and review of Safe Work Procedures (SWPs) and Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs)
- Participate in and facilitate SHE-Q meetings, audits, inspections, and proactive field engagements
- Lead and support incident investigations, including research, analysis, reporting, and corrective action development
- Coach and mentor employees at all levels on Mammoet’s values, safety expectations, and core processes
- Independently assess situations, make timely decisions, and positively influence safe behaviors
- Coordinate and support internal and external safety programs, including Emergency Response, Safety Audits, and Mammoet Academy orientations
- High School Diploma (minimum requirement)
- National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) – valid and in good standing
- Occupational Health & Safety Certificate
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Turnaround experience is preferred
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on field safety experience
- Experience working in live industrial environments (refineries, plants, etc.)
- Strong working knowledge of mobile equipment; crane exposure is a strong asset
- Proven experience conducting incident investigations and completing detailed investigation reports
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize in fast-paced environments
- Highly accountable and comfortable working with minimal supervision
- Ability to create and maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems
- Familiarity with professional driver and equipment operator logbooks is an asset
- Confident, professional communicator, approachable, articulate, and comfortable engaging directly with clients
- Ability to speak confidently in front of groups is considered an asset
