We're interested in helping your career and adding to your resume because we know that happy employees lead to happier customers!We are adding an Automotive Technician to our team at St. Albert Dodge. The right candidate will be customer focused, and be seeking a long-term position. We offer an industry leading and very competitive compensation package with a strong base, benefits, vacation package, and performance incentives!Compensation: $90K-125K or more per year, depending on your capability!Responsibilities:

Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
Inspect and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment on new, pre-owned, and customer vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of the time needed for additional repairs.
Must perform thorough, precise, and accurate inspections with photos and detailed notes in our electronic system on every job. We pay you for your inspection time - we want it done right on every vehicle.
Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
Must follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

Journeyman Red Seal certification
4 years minimum experience in the industry.
Strong Automotive Background
Must be willing to diagnose at least 80% of your own jobs, including routine mechanical and electrical problems.
First Aid and WHMIS an asset
Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
Hold a valid driver's license with clean abstract
Working knowledge of shop equipment
Must be willing to submit a background check prior to employment
