- Support the day-to-day operations of Babcock Canada's Victoria Warehouse(s) in support of the Victoria In Service Support Contract (VISSC).
- Provide optimal customer service to internal and external customers in the aid of production at the Esquimalt graving dock (EGD).
- Take an active role in warehouse continuous improvement initiatives that support the business needs and to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Support Warehouse Manager(s) to ensure all material processes and procedures for responsible areas conform to Babcock standards.
- Manage various assigned activities including stock taking, material delivery and site inspections.
- Use Babcock's purposes and principals as a daily guide while completing work.
- Conduct work in a manner that supports a positive Health and Safety culture throughout the warehouse and assigned compounds.
- Perform other duties as deemed necessary and reasonable to support the business.
- 1-3 years experience working in a warehouse/inventory operations environment.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent (College or University diploma an asset).
- Organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel and Outlook.
- Experienced with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is preferred; experience with Industrial and Financial Systems (IFS) is an asset.
- Forklift experience with large/heavy loads.
- Valid B.C. drivers License (class 5) with experience driving flatbed truck or similar.
- Ability to safely lift 50 lbs.
- Experience with hand and power tools (grinder, bandsaw, drill etc.) is an asset.
- Experience with sheet/plate metals considered an asset.
- Experience in material management for major equipment or in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
- Eligibility for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance.
