- Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process and ensure the timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and employee expense reports
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls to minimize risk and improve efficiency
- Monitor and analyze accounts payable processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Collaborate with other departments in the organization to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices
- Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to resolve any issues or disputes related to payments or invoices
- Develop, prepare and analyze accounts payable reports for management review
- Manage relationships with key 3rd party payment processors
- Review and provide first level approval for all bank transactions (e.g. wire transfers, transfers, tax and bill payments), ensuring that transactions have appropriate documentation and authorization
- Contribute to and review the organizations cash flow and working capital forecasting
- Supervise, mentor, and develop Accounts Payable Clerks and Treasury Analyst to enhance performance
- Complete all other tasks as assigned
- 5+ years of progressive business experience in finance or accounting Bachelors degree in finance, accounting or a related major
- CPA designation completed or in progress
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Comprehensive understanding of accounts payable processes
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems
- Self-motivated, proactive, self-starter, high attention to detail, flexible and adaptable
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Must be detail oriented with ability to meet tight timelines when required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with ability to manage multiple projects and respond to changing priorities and deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop trusted business partner relationships across the organization
