About the Opportunity
Payroll Operations
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of U.S. (hourly & salaried) and Canadian payroll on a semi-monthly cycle
  • Perform payroll reviews, audits, and resolve discrepancies
  • Audit employee records to ensure tax compliance and proper onboarding setup
  • Review and resolve payroll tax notices and inquiries
  • Research payroll tax requirements as the company expands into new jurisdictions and set up required accounts
  • Support quarter-end and year-end processes, including reconciliation and validation of payroll data
Compliance & Controls
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local payroll regulations and wage laws
  • Maintain accurate documentation in line with internal controls and audit requirements
  • Safeguard the integrity and confidentiality of payroll and HR data
Reporting & Collaboration
  • Generate recurring and ad hoc payroll reports for internal stakeholders
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve payroll processes and support system enhancements
  • Provide timely and professional support to employees on payroll-related inquiries
About You
  • 5+ years of payroll experience, including U.S. and Canadian payroll
  • Strong understanding of payroll tax compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs)
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new systems and processes
