GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:Reporting to the Shipping Supervisor, the Receiver/Shipper is responsible for receiving, loading and uploading, warehousing, and shipping product and materials in and out of the freezers, coolers, dry goods warehouse and/or shipping dock area, using power and manual equipment. Position picks orders according to customer order requirements.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Accountable to receive, warehouse and ship poultry products and supplies.
  • Accountable for conducting physical inventory counts for products and supplies.
  • Accountable to adhere to and utilize Company policies and procedures and HACCP regulations.
  • Accountable to ensure a safe work environment for coworkers, customers, and visitors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum Grade 12 high school graduation and/or GED equivalency.
  • Minimum one year shipping experience.
  • Must possess Material Handling Equipment (MHE) license/certification.
  • Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
  • Basic computer literacy (use of email, Microsoft Word, Excel and Teams).
  • Basic math skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
