- Lead full-cycle recruitment for roles across the Det’on Cho Group of Companies
- Draft and update job descriptions, job postings and interview guides
- Source candidates using applicant tracking systems, databases, social media, referrals, and community networks.
- Screen resumes and applications and conduct phone and virtual interviews
- Participate in career fairs, job events, and community outreach initiatives.
- Conduct initial phone screens and provide a shortlist of qualified candidates to hiring managers.
- Support hiring managers with interview techniques, selection decisions, and offer preparation
- Manage candidate communications, including acknowledgements, interview scheduling, offers, and regret notifications Use recruiting tools like tests and assignments to assess candidates' skills.
- Use recruiting software to keep track of open roles.
- Send out all bulk emails like confirming receipt of applications, rejection emails and new hire handle paperwork.
- Coordinate background checks and credentials review.
- Promote a positive, professional, and culturally appropriate candidate experience.
- Prepare offer letters, employment agreements, and new-hire documentation
- Coordinate onboarding activities and orientation sessions.
- Prepare new hire paperwork that meets legislative requirements.
- Track recruitment activity, vacancies, and hiring metrics Invest in continuous learning, stay up to date with current recruiting methods, and attend HR conferences.
- Maintain accurate recruitment and employee records within the HRIS.
- Stay current with recruitment best practices and labour market trends
- Provide backup for other HR functions.
- Certification and/or Diploma in Human Resources Management or comparable experience and/or two years of related experience or an equivalent combination
- Demonstrated experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, including full-cycle hiring
- Strong working knowledge of recruitment and selection best practices
- Hands-on experience with various selection processes like phone interviews and reference checks
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational Skills, interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems, HRIS platforms and MS Office
- Knowledge of employment legislation and privacy requirements
- Willing to pursue or maintain Registered Professional Recruiter certification is an asset.
- Familiarity with Yellowknives Dene language, culture and way of life is considered an asset.
