
Civil Project Coordinator

- A six-kilometer tunnel and associated tunnelling works from Exhibition to Don Yard portal (west of the Don River)
- Stations:
- One above-ground station to be integrated with the existing GO Transit Exhibition Station
- Two underground stations to be integrated with the existing TTC Osgoode and Queen subway stations
- Four new underground stations (King/Bathurst, Queen/Spadina, Moss Park, Corktown)
- Improve the quality of life for commuters by reducing daily travel time
- Reduce crowding on the existing Line 1 (Yonge-University) subway
- Up to 57,000 more jobs accessible by transit (in 45 minutes or less) for Toronto residents
- Economic and community growth along the future transit line and thousands of job opportunities annually during construction
- Reduction in traffic congestion, greenhouse gases and fuel consumption by providing an alternative transportation option
- Ensure all site activities comply with safety regulations and company policies
- Coordinating project schedules, resources, equipment, and information.
- Prepare up coming works activity in methods, procurement and design.
- Review construction drawings and specifications, generate procurement list, RFIs, Change Orders, Permitting, traffic and land information, etc. as necessary.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid project delays
- Implement quality control ensuring and checking works compliance with technical drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate, prepare, and compile as-built documentation for quality records.
- Provide Management with data and project analysis.
- Provide data and input for month-end reconciliation.
- Reporting site work activities, track productivity, costs, and progress on Ontario Line South.
- Maintain files and correspondence.
- Liaise with subcontractors, internal departments and stakeholders, as required.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred
- At least 2-3 years of experience in construction coordination or a similar role
- Relevant certifications, such as OSHA safety training, are advantageous
- Capable of reading and understanding construction drawings and documents.
- Sound computer skills – MS Excel / Lotus, MS Word.
- Strong communication skills – oral and written.
- Self-motivated with good organizational skills.
- Adaptable to a flexible work schedule when required to meet deadlines.
