We offer competitive wages with a full benefits plan, as well as optional RSP plans.The OpportunityWe are currently looking for individuals who are interested in becoming Casual General Production employees for our manufacturing facilities in Mitsue Industrial Park. Job duties include:
  • Starts machines, confirming that all maintenance tasks have been performed and that the equipment is functioning correctly
  • Operates a variety of machine centers in the sawmill, planer mill, and/or pellet plant
  • Monitors conveyors for plug-ups
  • Uses an air wand to blow dust and debris from trim saw area during crew breaks
  • Cleans photo eyes and scanners as required
  • Monitors product for deficiencies and reports issues to the shift supervisor
  • Cleans and sprays work areas with water prior to hot work; participates in spark watch
  • Sweeps floors and clears debris from work areas, walkways, and from around equipment
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
Working Conditions:
  • Exposed to noise, dust, falling debris, moving machinery, weather extremes, splinters, slipping and tripping hazards
  • Lifting heavy, awkward objects and climbing on equipment is frequently required
  • Required use of the appropriate PPE for the task and working conditions
Must have:
  • A solid work ethic, be eager to learn, and be a team player
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to Mitsue Industrial Park
  • Preference given to candidates with previous work experience in a industrial or manufacturing setting in a safety sensitive role
  • Mill experience is an asset, but not required
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills
  • A valid first aid certificate is preferred
  • Available to be on call for a variety of shifts including: day, nights, or weekends
