Apply today to join our team!As a Physiotherapy Assistant you will:
  • Function under the operational supervision of the Program Manager, the clinical supervision of the Physiotherapy Practice Leader and Grade 2 PT, and the work direction of a physiotherapist, to work as a team member with other multidisciplinary personnel and carries out established physiotherapy activities.
  • Demonstrate and teach techniques.
  • Adapt devices to enable clients to maximize potential for mobility and independence.
  • Provide functional direction to family/volunteers, report relevant observations of resident’s condition in writing or by utilizing basic computer literacy to the physiotherapist.
  • Organize and coordinate the portering of clients.
  • Clean and maintain designated equipment.
QualificationsEducation & Experience
  • Completion of a Rehabilitation Assistant Program.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
