Our reputation was built on having long-term staff who provide excellent customer service, having a well-stocked inventory of parts, sales, and rental equipment, and by hiring those who are friendly, knowledgeable, honest, and who enjoy working as part of a team.We are currently looking to hire a Journeyman Outdoor Power Equipment Technician to our work at our Grande Prairie Head Office shop.As the Outdoor Power Equipment Technician, you are responsible for:
  • Completing small engine work orders accurately and timely
  • Completing equipment troubleshooting and diagnostic repairs
  • Performing service work as required (cleaning, lubricating, etc.)
  • Testing repaired equipment for proper performance
  • Monitoring parts usage and report on any material issues
  • Assisting with ordering replacement equipment, parts, and supplies
  • Documenting work performed in detailed, readable, and accurate manner per Rentco procedures
You have the following education, training, and skills:
  • Journeyman Small Engine Mechanic/Outdoor Power Equipment Technician certification or equivalent experience
  • Class 5 drivers’ licence with a clean abstract and the ability to travel to off-site locations
  • Experience working on small tampers, generators, and water pumps
  • Ability to be flexible and to work well under pressure
  • Ability to lift objects over 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions while wearing proper PPE
