With 40+ years of experience in the Insurtech industry, we’re not just redefining what’s achievable; we’re creating a place where amazing career moments are made possible.Position OverviewIvans, a worldwide leader in insurance technology and a division of Applied Systems, is currently searching for a Product Manager/Sr. Product Manager to lead the onboarding and maintenance of markets’ risk profiles and the tooling requirements to support those activities for Ivans’ API-driven distribution platform (IDP), used by insurance carriers, technology partners, and insurance agencies to ensure seamless connectivity and expand commercial distribution channels.This individual is responsible for the overall success of our markets across our integrating partners to effectively and efficiently connect to IDP, while supporting our other Product Managers who are building the end-user workflows. This role involves understanding industry needs and communicating with internal and external stakeholders to develop onboarding processes, integration tools, testing frameworks, and documentation that’s focused on the configuration of each integrating party to IDP. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to address customer and partner challenges, project management skills to launch our markets on time and on budget, and align our front/back-end teams around the capabilities and needs of our markets.Ivans has deep expertise in data connectivity to enhance operational efficiency and ensure our partners stay ahead in a rapidly evolving insurance industry.What You’ll Do
  • Work with our carriers to identify and document their distribution workflows to prepare analysis for our front-end Product Managers to influence roadmaps, and tooling to better assist our onboarding & maintenance processes.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs and gather requirements for enhancements to processes, internal tooling, and advocate to our other Product Managers the needs of our carriers.
  • Understand user needs and how to influence our carriers to best meet their needs, and work in close collaboration with Customer Success, Engineering, Implementation, Marketing, internal product teams, and other stakeholders
  • Monitor user behaviors, error rates, usage trends, and other key metrics to provide direction and collateral for our internal teams to drive meaningful change to our customers and partners
  • Work with the core product teams to understand the client base, future product direction, and currently identified areas targeted for growth to best align carrier capabilities with industry demand
  • Participate in product roadmap/release plan activities to ensure that configuration updates are identified, planned, and delivered
  • Be a trusted partner for senior management and internal teams.
We’re looking for someone who:
  • Can work remotely or from an Applied Systems office.
  • Ability to travel.

  • At least 5 years of professional experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner, with expertise in APIs, integrations, development lifecycles, and the needs of both developers and end-user customers.
  • Must have a passion for creating innovative products that solve customer problems.
  • Experience managing and enhancing APIs that internal/external partners and customers use to integrate within their applications.
  • Strong understanding of the content and tools needed by developers to integrate with partner APIs.
  • Strategic thinker who can balance the need for short-term delivery with long-term platform innovation.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional departmental teams in the development of readiness practices and processes; effective in implementing new and improved processes
  • Excellent organizational and management skills, as well as influential skills
  • Passion for customer experience and driving the unification of customer data to unlock actionable insights.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a proven ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in the areas of Information Science, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
You may have other skills or credentials, including:
  • Insurance or financial industry experience.
  • B2B product management experience.
  • Knowledge in the use of Project Management methodologies (Agile Scrum, etc.)
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, ReadMe, Swagger, Pendo, or other related tools is helpful.
