- Analyze facilities and maintenance capital projects to clearly define scope, risks, constraints, and deliverables.
- Lead planning, coordination, and stakeholder engagement for building renovations, shop upgrades, equipment installations, and marine infrastructure maintenance.
- Develop and implement a multi-year capital roadmap aligned with organizational priorities and long-term infrastructure strategy.
- Manage all building services, coordinating contractors and in-house teams to ensure compliance, safety, and operational continuity.
- Deliver projects of varying scale and complexity within budget and schedule while minimizing disruption to shipbuilding operations.
- Establish and monitor KPIs to track milestones, financial performance, quality standards, and resource utilization.
- Track project costs and schedules, ensuring alignment with approved budgets and timelines.
- Lead root cause analysis for operational challenges and implement strategic, sustainable solutions.
- Identify and implement innovative technologies and best practices to enhance facilities performance and reliability.
- Provide strategic recommendations to improve facility operations and long-term asset performance.
- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, fostering accountability, collaboration, and high performance in a unionized environment.
- Post-secondary education in Engineering, Construction Management, Facilities Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- PMP certification is strongly preferred.
- Meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and Secret clearance.
- 6-10 years of combined technical and project management experience in industrial, construction, or heavy manufacturing environments.
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience, including at least 2 years in a production environment (unionized experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of building systems and services (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, fire protection, utilities infrastructure).
- Experience with welding, plasma cutting, and related manufacturing processes and their facility infrastructure requirements.
- Demonstrated experience managing contractors and in-house trades.
- Familiarity with marine or shipyard operations is a strong asset.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, operationally sensitive environment.
- Strong financial acumen, scheduling expertise, and risk management capability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Outlook and knowledge of using Smartsheet is preferred.
