
Quote Analyst

- Inputs data and serves as database administration of quoting analysis system.
- Analyze customer RFQs (Requests for Quotation) including BOMs, assembly drawings, CAD/Gerber files, and specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to estimate labor times, machine usage, NREs, and process costs.
- Prepare detailed cost breakdowns including material, labor, overhead, tooling, test, and margin considerations.
- Coordinate and maintain quote documentation and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Conduct "should-cost" analysis to benchmark and validate cost assumptions.
- Assist in quote reviews and support business development with pricing strategy inputs.
- Assembles quoting letters/documentation.
- Tracks and monitors engineering change order (ECO) costs, margins, etc., and summarize status for other groups.
- Extracts Bills of Material (BOMs), provides costing breakdowns and works with supply chain to source and cost materials, including components and fabricated parts.
- Provides regular reports or analyses on quote details as defined by management.
- Ensures activities are completed on time within defined budget and identifies when activities are not on track.
- Maintain and update quoting tools and templates to reflect the latest standards and cost models.
- Sends RFQ to established supply base to gather quotation information to present to customer.
- Resolves part number issues with suppliers and gathers other relevant information to complete quote. Issues between sales and customer are normally escalated to lead or manager.
- Support continuous improvement of the quoting process, including automation and system enhancements.
- Interfaces with Plant Management, Account team members, and Customers.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline with a minimum of 2 years' relevant experience, preferably in the EMS or electronics industry.
- Advanced experience in Excel.
- Excellent communication skills and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
- Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
