There's a seat at our table for you...Position OverviewAre you a Class 1 Driver who is physically fit, enjoys delivering excellent customer service, and working with a great team? Do you like being able to come home at the end of your shift and are you ready for a new challenge? If so, Gordon Food Service could be the place for you! The Delivery Service Rep. will be responsible for covering delivery shifts out of Saskatoon.Schedule: 4 X 10 hrs. Mon-Sat, Start time: 6:30 AMWhat We Offer:Starting hourly rate of $29.00Medical, Dental, Prescription Drug, and EAP Benefits after 30 days of employmentComprehensive customizable benefits program to suit you and your family needs including dental, vision, prescription drugs and extended health coverageCompany matched retirement programProfit sharingTraining and career advancement opportunitiesGordon Food Service product discountsEmployee appreciation eventsFamily cultureDuties & ResponsibilitiesProviding exceptional service to build and maintain quality customer relationshipManually sorting and unloading food products and hand-wheeling them into the customer locations with the use of ramps and occasionally stairs (approx. 600 - 1000 cases/shift)Operating straight trucks or trailers safely and professionally to transport goods and materials over urban, short inter-urban and rural routesConducting routine pre/post-trip truck inspections and maintaining accurate records of delivery routes, temperature logs, count sheets and incident reportingPerforming product delivery verification at the customer location and maintaining customer invoicesFollowing health and safety and safe work proceduresRequired Skills & QualificationsValid Class 1 driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract.Eligibility for bonding and transportation of dangerous goods (TDG) certification.Previous professional driving experience is preferredAbility to work in a variety of weather, temperature and road conditionsExcellent customer service skills.Strong mechanical aptitudeA high-level of integrity and a strong work ethic, able to work with little supervision and be self directed.Professional demeanor under stressful situations.Physically fit and able to repeatedly lift, stack, pull and carry heavy items (up to 60 lbs)High School Diploma or equivalent.Availability for weekends.#GFSCAWe thank all applicants for their interest, however only those selected for the next stage will be contacted.
