Office: DrummondvilleJob DescriptionUnder the supervision of the Senior Director and the Provincial Technical Director, the Project Manager for the Roofing Testing Laboratory is responsible for laboratory operations, business development strategies, and the execution of standardized tests. The Project Manager will also contribute to the evolution of the services offered by developing new complementary areas of expertise.What your workdays at EXP will look likeLaboratory Operations Management
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise all activities within the roofing testing laboratory.
- Manage budgets, schedules, and internal resources.
- Supervise and provide guidance to the laboratory's technical team.
- Maintain, improve, and optimize laboratory facilities.
- Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 certification and related procedures.
- Oversee quality control of deliverables and test reports.
- Perform or supervise on-site assessments and testing.
- Prepare technical reports and related publications.
- Prepare service proposals and manage cost tracking, invoicing, and account follow-up.
- Actively contribute to the growth of the laboratory, both for existing services and new service development.
- Build, maintain, and strengthen business relationships with clients, manufacturers, and partners.
- Represent EXP within associations and standardization committees.
- Perform or supervise standardized tests, including:
- CSA A123.21
- ASTM: D1623, C1583, D1876
- ANSI/SPRI: IA-1, FX-1, BPT-1, MPO-1
- Engineering letters
- Provide technical guidance and recommendations.
- Design testing programs tailored to client needs.
- Experience or training in the construction sector.
- Project management experience, ideally in a laboratory, materials, roofing, or standardized testing environment.
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
- Engineer and member of the OIQ (asset).
- Knowledge of CSA, ASTM, and ANSI/SPRI standards (strong asset).
- Ability to supervise tests, analyze results, and prepare technical reports.
- Strong manual skills: equipment handling, understanding of roofing systems.
- Enjoy working with people and demonstrate genuine interest in collaborating with colleagues, clients, and partners.
- Excellent organizational skills: ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and maintain administrative rigor.
- Autonomy, initiative, and strong attention to detail.
- Bilingual in French and English. You will regularly interact in English with internal and external partners in Canada and the United States.
