- This is a day shift position, possible schedule between 7am to 6m (8 hour shift) Monday to Friday. You will the be available on the evening and night shifts for replacements.

- Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) - Receive 60 cents per hour worked paid every 3 months.
- 4 float days per year (year 1 is pro-rated).
- RSP: Company and employee matching contribution of 4.25% of their pay.
- Vacation 2 weeks per year from years 1 -4 increasing to 3 weeks per year.
- Operation and maintenance of steam boiler and its auxiliary systems including water treatment plant consisting of softener and Dealkalizer. Perform required tests to maintain the boiler feed water quality.
- Operation and maintenance of Ammonia and Freon refrigeration plant and its auxiliary system including evaporative condenser system to maintain the critical parameters.
- Operation and maintenance of Air compressor and Air dryer system to maintain the air quality supply.
- Operation and maintenance of water distribution system and wastewater treatment plant to maintain the discharge water quality within City Bylaws limit.
- Operation & control of HVAC system to maintain the temperature and humidity in the respective area.
- Maintain daily log of operation, maintenance, and safety activities.
- Troubleshoot, perform corrective action, or minor repairs and preventive maintenance activities as required.
- Ensure plant equipment is operating at optimum efficiency and participate in energy saving program.
- Ensures the recording of data and all relevant information to the operation of the plant.
- Ensures daily plant inspection of the ammonia-refrigeration, steam boiler systems and that all Utilities systems are operating in a safe and expected manner.
- Monitor water sprinkler system and Fire Alarm system.
- Other duties as required
- Possesses a valid TSSA certificate as a 3rd Class stationary engineer or Refrigeration ‘B’ Operator.
- 3 to 5 years of experience
- Experience in amonia refregiration, troubleshooting and knowledge on PLC
- Millwright and Electrician licence (asset)
