Responsibilities:Your Role:The Material Handler, in accordance with standard practices and procedures, is responsible for keeping HHF Rotomac supplied with aluminum coil stock and packaging material and for removing finished goods in a manner that does not restrict the production process. The incumbent must have full knowledge of, and adhere to, all corporate health, safety and environmental practices and procedures and must have a demonstrated ability to safely operate fork trucks and automatic.You will have the opportunity to Make Great Things Happen!
  • The Material Handler ensures uninterrupted production by keeping Rotomac supplied with coiled aluminum foil and packaging materials and removing empty cores from pay-off to accommodate new coils.
  • The incumbent places into and retrieves from inventory, aluminum coil and packaging materials, using barcode functions for all metal transactions.
  • Aluminum coils are weighed and recorded as required.
Finished goods on completed skids are tagged with skid control tickets, date stamped, scanned wrapped and transported to storage areas. * The incumbent bales scrap using manual baling equipment also removing scrap from lines.
  • Must have the ability to quickly address any production requests from operators, lead-hands, or Supervisors.
  • These tasks are accomplished through the safe and efficient use of Company motorized vehicles (fork trucks, pump trucks, tow motors, clamp truck) when necessary, the application of all company required good housekeeping practices. Strict adherence to and awareness of all Company health, safety and environmental policies and practices is mandatory.
  • The Material Handler deals with Lead Hands, Production Supervisors, other Material Handlers throughout the plant and various office staff.
  • The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that personal interactions are professional and courteous as is reasonable to ensure efficient plant operations.
  • Most tasks are performed based on well-known and understood Company standard practices and procedures.

Requirements:We need you to have:
  • Although no specific formal schooling is required, the incumbent must have the ability to have a good understanding of inventory control in warehouses, the operation of motorized vehicles and have the ability to appreciate and identify health and safety hazards associated with equipment and general warehouse operations.
  • Core requirements of the job require an ability to perform intermediate level clerical tasks, including the use and understanding of barcode system operation.
  • Must be available all shifts.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience operating forklift truck and automatic.
Icing on the cake:
  • 3 years of experience on Raymond reach truck / and counterbalance.
