We are looking for a compassionate Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) who are willing to work floor staffing shifts as needed.We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated RPN to provide high-quality nursing and personal care in alignment with Home Instead standards and CNO guidelines. Responsibilities include administering medications and treatments under appropriate supervision, maintaining safe medication practices, and delivering hands-on resident care such as feeding, lifting, transferring, and ambulation.The role involves ongoing assessment and documentation of residents’ conditions, reporting changes promptly, and collaborating with the supervising nurse to update care plans. You will support, guide, and provide direction to personal support worker ensuring adherence to infection control, health and safety policies, and professional nursing practices.Strong communication skills are essential, including effective interaction with residents, families, Powers of Attorney, and the healthcare team. Flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to respond to emergencies and changing workloads are key.Role Highlights:
  • Location: Toronto
  • Position Type: Part-time/Casual/On-Call
Compensation Structure:
  • RPN Day Shifts: $28/hr
  • RPN Evening/Weekend Shifts: $30/hr
Qualifications:
  • Current registration in good standing with The College of Nurses of Ontario (including Insurance coverage through RPNAO or RNAO)
  • Current First Aid & CPR certification
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in long-term care or retirement home environment is essential to succeed in this role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying schedules 7 am to 3 pm or 3 pm to 11 pm or 11 pm to 7 am
  • Flexibility to work on weekends is preferred
