We are constantly studying and evaluating our benefits programs and policies to better meet present and future requirements.We are actively seeking talented candidates from across Canada and offering relocation support to any successful applicants who are not local to Calgary, AB.Position SummaryWe are currently recruiting for a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Technician (M2) with experience working on Dash 8 / Q400 / Twin Otter / CL aircraft to join a growing operation in Calgary, AB.This role is responsible for checking and maintaining the condition of aircraft and engine, and performing repairs, replacements, and adjustments in accordance with approved maintenance procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesQualified to perform systems installationResponsible to the assigned leader and have ability to take direction verbally and through printed mediaKnowledge of Standard Practices and Mechanical Systems, accurately interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, system schematics, engineering orders, test documents, manufacturer’s installation manualsUnderstand other aircraft systems i.e., hydraulic, flight controls and major componentsInstall, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems and equipment, including powerplant, flight control, hydraulic, landing gear and electricalPerform system checks and inspections to ensure Mechanical systems are in compliance with industry and safety standardsKeep accurate records of all work performed and maintain inventory of tools and equipmentMaintain a clean work area and alert the leadership team of any safety concerns; take immediate action or report immediately any unsafe conditionsResponsible for ensuring both accuracy and traceability of parts removed or installed on AircraftPerform other work as assigned and willing to work shift workProperly utilize maintenance test equipment to perform systems tests. Properly utilize and maintain mechanical hand tools to perform installations and repairsSafely operate ground support equipment, i.e., power carts, lifts (when properly trained), etc. as requiredEducation and Experience5+ years’ experience working on the Dash 8, Twin Otter, or CLShall hold current AME “M” Transport Canada licenseAircraft type rating would be an assetAbility to hold an ACA would be an assetPositive attitude and strong work ethicDemonstrated organizational skills and attention to detailAble to work effectively independently and as part of a teamBasic computer skills and familiarity with InternetGood oral and written communication skillsPhysical & Work RequirementsAbility to work Monday – Friday 0600-1430Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.Ability to acquire a Transport Canada issued Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC)Additional NotesWe are committed to protecting our people, customers, shareholders and the public through Health & Safety Excellence.
