- Ensure proper implementation of warehousing procedures in recording, storage, and inventory control.
- Receive finished goods, raw materials, and packaging materials deliveries and checks conformance to specifications regarding physical attributes.
- Ensure proper rotation, storage and issuance of materials/components.
- Coordinates and assists in the unloading and storage of raw materials and packaging materials.
- Perform handling and issuance of chemical products and raw materials.
- Close coordination with the purchasing team regarding the return and/or replacement of defective or wrong deliveries.
- Prepare receiving reports of accepted deliveries of raw materials and supplies.
- Perform packaging of finished goods for shipment.
- Coordinate and assist in the loading of finished goods for shipment.
- Conduct regular inspection of the warehouse premises to check security and condition of materials stored therein.
- Safeguard inventory against breakage or other damage and loss on account of pilferage.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of warehouses.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities related to the position and other tasks that may be assigned by the superiors
- Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehousing.
- Working knowledge in any of the warehouse operations (receiving, shipping, stockroom)
- Knowledge of inventory management processes and philosophies, including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Just in Time (JIT).
- Microsoft Dynamics experience would be considered an asset
- Self-directed and action-oriented with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a team environment and work effectively with all levels of internal and external customers
- Physical demands include: lifting up to 50lbs, prolonged periods of walking/standing
- Experience with pallet movers and forklifts.
