As the Nurse in Charge you will focus on managing the delivery of preventive health strategies that promote the health and wellbeing of our community members. We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic, innovative leaders with excellent communications skills.Reporting to the Public Health Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the Watson Lake Health Centre to ensure quality community health programs and service delivery to the clients in the Watson Lake and surrounding area, including Lower Post, British Columbia. The duties include managing/administering activities of staff, assisting with the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of public health/education programs and performing other related duties which contribute to the optimal functioning of the unit.   • Current registration in good standing with a Canadian registered nursing regulatory body
  • Significant nursing experience in community health/public health nursing
  • Recent experience in a supervisory role leading a team in a health care setting
  • Experience supervising/managing the delivery of community health/public health programs is considered an asset
