Chemical Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Develop and optimize extraction and conversion processes.
  • Assess technologies for economic application in and optimization of various projects.
  • Understand processing technologies as well as emerging technologies and the impact of their application into the projects.
  • Work with project managers, vendors, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Review, analyze and interpret test results to identify optimization opportunities within the commercial plant and technology development.
  • Develop process models to be used to understand the impact of changing operating parameters and facilitate data driven decisions during plant design.
  • Analyze data gathered and make sound recommendations to the Projects Team on the best technical solution for the project.
  • Ensure process safety and control systems are appropriately considered in all engineering designs.
  • Provide technical expertise for and input to project deliverables, including scope of work documents, proposals, budgets, and schedules for assigned scope of works, and technical presentations.
The successful candidate has:
  • 10+ years of experience in some (or all) the requirements below.
  • Participation in risk review and HAZOP analyses, with a focus on driving resolution and closure.
  • Experience in working with inorganic water and chemical alteration
  • Knowledge of industrial water treatment, including the production of ultrapure water streams.
  • Preparation and maintenance of heat and material balances, including expertise in design optimization.
  • Experience in managing sour gas or other toxic environments.
  • Proficiency in pipe hydraulics, ensuring optimal fluid dynamics.
  • Strong understanding of thermodynamics principles.
  • Knowledge of industrial water treatment, including the production of ultrapure water streams.
  • Demonstrated ability in process optimization within commercial and chemical plant operations.
Compensation and benefits:
  • The compensation will range from $140,000 to $160,000 depending on experience.
