Transdev is hiring a Financial Coordinator (Casual) for our Abbotsford location.We’re seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Finance Coordinator (Casual) to support our Abbotsford team. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments, and assisting with financial reporting activities.Your role
  • Process, code, and reconcile invoices, expense reports, and payments accurately and on time
  • Prepare and submit periodic billing, invoices, and financial reports to client agencies and municipal partners (e.g., BC Transit) in a timely and accurate manner
  • Monitor expenditure against approved budgets, investigate variances, and report discrepancies to management
  • Support month-end closing procedures, account reconciliations, and reporting
  • Maintain organized financial records, documentation, and data entries
  • Track accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances to ensure timely collection
  • Support the preparation and ongoing monitoring of operating budgets, contributing to forecasting and variance analysis
  • Liaise with internal departments (e.g., operations, HR) to gather financial data and resolve queries in a timely manner
  • Ensure financial activities comply with internal controls, company policies, and applicable regulations; assist with year-end audit preparation as required
  • Provide general administrative and analytical support to the Finance department
  • Follow all of Transdev’s standards, policies, and procedures
  • Perform other responsibilities or tasks as requested or required.

Your profile
  • Previous experience in finance and/or accounting, (preferably 1–2 years)
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality
  • High Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in the transportation or transit industry is an asset, but not required
Your location
  • Casual, unionized position with consistent work availability expected; hours may increase as operational needs evolve
  • Based in Abbotsford, BC (with occasional work in Chilliwack as needed)
  • Availability for evenings, weekends, or holidays may occasionally be required, depending on operational needs
