We are a fast-paced group that encourages autonomy and new ideas.Teamwork and a happy work environment are of paramount importance to us!There is no ceiling on any of the positions held within the company – where you want to go, is up to you & your abilities!Go see for yourself: https://humanesolutions.ca/The Position:Our company is in search of a dynamic, personable Wildlife Technician who lives in the Vancouver/Burnaby areas to be part of the field crew starting immediately.No two days are the same working with wildlife so you should be happy working outdoors, be savvy with your hands, practically minded, have an upbeat attitude, and have a strong work ethic.If you can think outside of the box, are handy at solving problems, have a desire to improve the industry standards, and create positive change - we want to hear from you!The Job:
  • Pest proofing structures
  • Following up and performing final tasks for closing projects
  • Checking population management devices and filling out forms
  • General adaptive handy work
  • Helping with high profile wildlife jobs (pulling beaver dams, installing flow control devices, etc.)
  • Innovating and creatively solving problems as they arise
  • Serious focus on a quality product, long term results, making work look nice, and making customers happy
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid class 5 BC Driver's license
  • Comfortable working at heights
  • Understanding of how structures are built
  • Experience with hand tools and basic repairs
  • Ability to work at heights, from ladders and on roofs
  • Ability to perform physical activities

Pay:
  • Training salary to reflect transition period with remuneration increase as the responsibilities and position are fulfilled.
  • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
  • Salary: $18 - $30 per hour (based on experience and milestones)
  • Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday
Supplemental pay types:
  • Bonus pay
