
Concrete Batch Plant Operator

- Responsible for mixing specific components to make concrete
- Knowledge of batching equipment, operations, and processes
- Document, record, and monitor Batch Plant data
- Maintaining and cleaning batch plants, mixers, carts, and aggregate systems
- Communicate with the pouring crew, shop manages, and quality control crew
- Follow instructions, procedures, and schedules as outlined in batch plant manuals, manufacture specifications, and safety manual
- Safely operate overhead cranes in a manufacturing environment
- Keep an adequate supply of batching materials
- Assist QC personnel in concrete testing
- Troubleshoot issues and report to the foreman or supervisor
- Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures
- Applicants successful in the interview process will be asked to complete a pre-employment assessment as part of the final hiring process
- Previous experience batching concrete or similar role
- Minimum 40 hours per week, must be flexible and willing to work overtime
- Valid Class 5 license and reliable transportation
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new programs
- Familiar with the Canadian Standard Association
- Able to work under minimal supervision
- Physically fit to perform demanding work for extended periods
- Able to lift at least 50lbs
- Comfortable working at heights with proper safety restraints
- Able to work independently or with a crew
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Local or willing to relocate to Central Alberta
- Electronically and mechanically inclined, with strong troubleshooting skills
