- Degree or Diploma in a related field of study from an accredited post-secondary institution is preferred.
- Personal Outcome Measures training
- Certification in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention is an asset
- Minimum of five years' experience providing support to children or adults with disabilities in a community setting
- Previous experience as a supervisor in an interdisciplinary environment
- Previous experience in conflict resolution is an asset
- Previous experience with project management and balancing multiple responsibilities
- Must possess knowledge of theory and practice relevant to the support, education and training of people with a developmental disability or autism
- Must understand and support the concept of interdisciplinary teamwork
- Knowledge of the structure, regulations, and legislation of Family Services, Child and Family Services considered an asset
- Must have excellent written and verbal skills
- Able to chair or facilitate meetings effectively and efficiently
- Previous experience and knowledge of the concepts and practices of family-centered practice
- Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate individual support plans
- Previous experience managing budgets within a non-profit environment an asset
- Proficient with Microsoft office suite and virtual communication tools (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.)
- Ability to work with minimal supervision as well as a collaborative team player in a team environment
- Ability to organize and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to generate ideas to improve work procedures and contribute to an environment that fosters growth, development and innovation
- Ability to establish and maintain positive and productive working relationships with humility and self-awareness
- Ability and willingness to give and receive honest, balanced feedback

- Must be able to be on call during selected after hours if required
- Must possess a reliable vehicle and be willing to travel within Manitoba
- Able to work flexible and/or extended hours when necessary, including evenings and weekends.
- Directs, trains, and supports Team Leaders in their efforts to support people to be connected to their communities in a meaningful way
- Provides direction and supervision to the Team Leaders within assigned areas to ensure services provided are of the highest quality and are directly related to the individual's assessment of their desired personal outcomes
- Leads the individual planning process for each person within caseload using a person-centered, goal-oriented approach to ensure that the overall needs and preferences of each person is addressed and the process and outcomes are documented
- Promotes awareness of individual rights and responsibilities within a least restrictive environment
- Provides direction and leadership to Team Leaders, extending to include all Direct Support Professionals at times
- Collaborates with Department of Families staff to ensure needs of people served are identified and addressed
- Identifies and assesses high-risk situations, intervenes, and documents
- Advocates for people served and their families to ensure individual or group interests are represented and/or to ensure accessibility to resources and services
- Maintains organized and up-to-date files and records
- Develop and implement skill development sessions for people receiving services as needed
- Coordinates and monitors services including comprehensive tracking of activities in relation to support plan
- Assists people to develop goals and areas of need and coordinates the development of service plans which are assessed regularly
